1.2 PureTech Care: Chain Life, Oil Choice & Early Symptoms

Use proper ACEA low-SAPS oils and keep intervals under 10–12k km to extend chain life. Prolonged cold-start rattle, reduced pull and rising fuel use are early warnings.

Check oil pressure, PCV, spark gaps and wastegate during service. Occasional long drives help if you mostly do short trips.

Log symptoms with mileage/temperature for faster diagnosis.
